Very small forend has spring tension release. Serial number is on rear spur forming part of mounting area for walnut pistol grip. Case hardened top lever action with hammer is marked "HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON ARMS CO" "WORCESTER, MASS U.S.A." on right side and "H & R. Barrel is marked ".410 - 12mm" "CHOKE" on top. This example, in exceptionally fine condition, has 12 - 1/4" barrel which made it legal in many states before the NFA where a pistol was defined as having a barrel length of 12" or less.
